Stephanie Land is an artist from Chicago, currently living in Bushwick, Brooklyn. She received her BA in Photography in 2002 from

Columbia College Chicago. In her work, she runs parallel with the world, creating images that combine both immersion and

observation. Her love for color and light brings unnoticed moments to life. In her paper arts, she blindly dives in, creating and

sending hundreds of letters to friends, family and strangers, all over the world. She combines her love of vintage books, old and

worn found items with fresh bold colors, handmade papers and fine penmanship. Stephanie strives to find the interesting in every

situation and is continually inspired by the intricate details of life. Her work has been shown throughout the United States and

published in Direct Art magazine, Plateau Magazine, Columbia College's 6X6 book series, the Chicago Art Journal and TPM

magazine in Brazil.
